Hi, my name is McKenzie Ahern, and I am a Clinical Care Coordinator committed to providing compassionate, client-centered, and trauma-informed care. My professional experience includes supporting individuals affected by domestic violence through court advocacy and resource connection, as well as working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and co-occurring diagnoses. My clinical interests include understanding the effects of trauma on adults and children, and providing trauma-informed care to people experiencing serious mental health challenges. My approach is grounded in strengths-based, client-centered care that prioritizes each person’s autonomy, individual needs, and lived experiences. I believe in fostering supportive relationships that empower individuals to recognize their strengths and participate actively in their care. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy exploring new music, practicing yoga, mindfulness, and reading historical fiction.
