Hey, I’m Milla, I take pride in being a grounded and personalizable therapist (LCMHCA) who is passionate about supporting individuals navigating trauma, mood disorders, and complex mental health challenges. I earned my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina A&T SU and my BS in Psychology, with a minor in Statistics and Africana Studies, from the University of Rhode Island. My clinical work is grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach that integrates Relational-Cultural Theory, Gestalt therapy, and somatic and inner child work. I have experience working across outpatient, community mental health, and forensic settings, supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and severe mental health conditions, including those involved in complex systems of care. I am especially passionate about meeting clients where they are and supporting them in reconnecting with themselves; whether that means discovering who they are for the first time or learning to truly care for and value themselves. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel supported in working through challenges, building stability, and moving toward a more grounded and fulfilling life. Outside of my work, I enjoy creative expression, exploring new ideas, and spending intentional time reflecting and connecting with others.
