Hi, I'm Carlos, dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 20 years of healthcare experience, including over a decade practicing as a nurse practitioner. Throughout my career, I've cared for patients in emergency medicine, primary care, urgent care, employer health, and telemedicine. These experiences have shaped my belief that the best care addresses both physical and mental health together. My clinical interests include psychiatric care, chronic disease management, metabolic health, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine to support long-term recovery and wellness. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I believe meaningful progress happens when people understand their diagnosis, feel comfortable asking questions, and work collaboratively with their care team to develop a treatment plan that reflects their goals and values. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, staying physically active, and learning about nutrition and healthy aging. I also enjoy giving back to my community and have been proud to volunteer as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
