My name is Vlada Zapesotsky, Ph.D. candidate in Psychology (CIIS), and I am a board-certified practitioner, trainer, and educator in group psychotherapy (ABE) and trauma therapy (TSI). I am an author of the book "The Way Home: Discovering the Path to Your Inner Truth, Nature, and Inner Treasures". I specialize in working with individuals and groups affected by serious mental illness, with a focus on trauma, life transitions, grief, childhood mental health development, and creative, experiential approaches to healing. With over 16 years of clinical experience across outpatient psychiatric, educational, and community-based settings, I have worked extensively with diverse populations of children, adults, and families impacted by complex mental health needs. I am committed to creating safe, relational, and trauma-informed spaces that honor each person's story and support emotional integration through reflection, creativity, and group process. I have been serving the Bay area community for the last 6 years as a mental health consultant and trainer providing training and consultation to educators, students, and medical professionals. Having lived and worked in several places around the world, I bring a strong multicultural lens to my practice and have experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Outside of my professional work, I find joy in spending time with my family, exploring creative arts, and reconnecting with nature.
