Hi, I'm Ty! I am a Clinical Care Coordinator with a B.A. in Sociology from UCLA, and I am passionate about supporting adults navigating mental illness, chronic illness, disability, and major life transitions. I completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques through UCLA’s STAND program, where I served as a Mental Health Peer Counselor providing one-on-one support to fellow students using CBT-based approaches. I have also worked as a counselor and case manager in Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) settings, facilitating psychoeducation groups and supporting clients through individualized care. My approach is rooted in seeing the whole person and helping individuals build the tools and confidence needed to lead healthy, fulfilling lives while taking into account the impact of their social environment. Before attending UCLA, I worked as a professional dancer for over a decade and appeared in music videos for artists including Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry, P!nk, and Tove Lo. My time as a dancer informed my understanding of the importance of the mind-body connection in mental health settings.
