Dr. Shilpa R. Taufique is a clinical psychologist and behavioral health leader at the Mount Sinai Health System, where she serves as Vice Chair for Faculty Development, Chief Psychologist of the Division of Psychology, and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine. She is the founder and director of the Comprehensive Adolescent Rehabilitation and Education Service (CARES) at Mount Sinai Morningside, an internationally recognized program providing integrated treatment for youth with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Over more than 20 years at Mount Sinai, Dr. Taufique has built a career at the intersection of clinical innovation, systems design, and workforce development — with deep expertise in program development, co-occurring disorders, trauma, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in behavioral health settings.
