Hi, I’m Connor Adams, PsyD. I completed my doctorate in psychology at the George Washington University, my clinical internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance, and my postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University. My areas of specialty include relational concerns, managing overwhelming emotions, trauma, and psychosis, and I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis (CBTp), and trauma-focused therapies including cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and prolonged exposure (PE). Over the past decade I have worked in numerous settings, mostly providing hospital-based outpatient and inpatient care. My work centers on therapeutic interventions that support recovery for individuals living with serious mental illness, and I aim to help people feel understood, gain insight, clarify personal values, and make meaningful improvements in their lives. I am broadly interested in increasing access to person-centered and recovery-oriented care and pursue this goal at both Amae Health and in my role as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University. In addition to my work, I love to spend time in nature, read, and hangout with my cat!
