Hi, I'm Billy Hayes! I graduated from UCLA in 2025 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Education Studies. Throughout my time at UCLA, I devoted much of my time to serving the community. As an intern at The People Concern in Santa Monica, I conducted intake assessments for the unhoused community and provided these individuals with an extensive range of resources. I also served as the Elementary School Program Coordinator for Mentorship at UCLA, creating enriching and memorable experiences for the youth. As a research assistant in the DiSH Lab, I contributed to meaningful health psychology research to influence federal food policy for individuals from food-unstable households. My research experience extends to the Culture and Contact Lab, where I assisted in exploring how socio-cultural identities within negatively stereotyped groups can act as psychological resources that promote more positive intergroup relations. My future aspirations are to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology to become a practicing clinician while contributing to meaningful research examining the effects of early adversity on sexual identity development. At Amae, I am committed to building trusting relationships with our members to create a space where they feel genuinely heard and supported. In my free time, I enjoy thrifting, cafe hopping, running, and spending time in nature!
