Hi, I’m Ameerah. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counseling and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Sciences from the UK. I’ve worked across special educational needs and disabilities schools and inpatient psychiatric hospitals, with the privilege of supporting individuals with autism and other disabilities through personalized Education, Health, and Care Plans and evidence-based practices. I’ve also worked as a healthcare assistant in a mental health and addiction rehabilitation hospital, where I supported patients in their recovery, adapted to complex and dynamic situations, assisted with assessments, and helped implement individualized care plans. All of my experiences have reinforced my passion for supporting and encouraging individuals living with severe mental illness. I’m especially motivated by collaborative, team-based care that is holistic, thoughtful, and tailored to each person. I’m continually inspired by the many ways psychology can inform how we show up for others, and I’m excited to connect and work with you.
